WGMA – National Singing Weekend

17 May - 18 May

Our National Singing Weekend will be held in Claverdon Church Centre on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th May.  As usual there will be plenty of opportunity for singing and socialising.  We are delighted that David Sutcliffe (author of “Cecil Sharp and the quest of folk song and dance”) will be our guest speaker.  Please use this form to book: Claverdon Booking form

The Claverdon Parish Centre is a spacious location with ample parking and modern facilities.  It is on the Birmingham to Stratford-upon-Avon rail line, also with connections to Warwick and Leamington Spa, so those of you who are planning to come by public transport will be fine.  The weekend will consist of our usual singing and playing.  If you would like to lead an item, please send details to Mike Bailey at md@wgma.org.uk in good time.  We are delighted that David Sutcliffe, author of Cecil Sharp and the quest for folk song and dance will be our guest speaker.  On Saturday evening we are planning a “big sing” and hot food will be available.

The weekend is partially funded by the WGMA, the costs to participants being for the singing book and tea and coffee: single day £17.50, 2 days £25.00 (electronic payment or by cheque payable to WGMA). Travel, meals and accommodation are the responsibility of the participants.

(Discretionary attendance grants from WGMA are available – please apply via the Trustees).
