“A Cheerful Noise”: Explore the lost music of the village church 1700 –1850

A new event aimed at introducing West Gallery music to those who have not encountered it properly before. Open to all reasonably experienced choral singers and players of any acoustic string, wind or brass instrument.

Old St George’s is an Anglican church dating largely from Tudor times, untouched by Victorian alterations, and still retaining its three decker pulpit.
Experienced West Gallery singers and players are, of course, also invited and very warmly welcome to this event.
